Audi A3 came in due to being in limp mode and the lights on the dashboard as seen in the picture. A full diagnosis and inspection was carried out and we came to find that the main issue was the βEGRβ (exhaust gas recirculation system) was stuck slightly open and allowing flow constantly and in return clogging up the DPF (de particulate filter) which can cost thousands to replace.
We removed the EGR system and also the Dpf was removed and both treated with our own 3 part cleaning system, in this specific case we checked the turbo veins and seen that the actuator was opening inadequately and only allowing partial boost and whatβs known as overboost condition P0234 this is a generic code that is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the intake boost pressure sensor input signals intake pressure above the maximum specified pressure by 4 psi for more than 5 seconds . After this we replaced the oil and filter and reset the system parameters. Once finished we test driven and full power was re gained. We ran this Audi on our live road dyno and it achieved 168bhp for standard once we was happy it was healthy we then tuned the Ecu. This car made 218bhp on our 50/50 blend eco plus power.
